"I want to lick you through your panty hose. I want to suck your wetness out of them when you're done. I want you to tie them on me like a gag and suck me off and then spit my come back into my mouth. I want your scent all over my face...."
I was asked to review this book by a friend. In all honesty, most of the time when I'm asked to review a book it's usually rather boring. I fight tooth and nail to get from chapter to chapter and it becomes tedious. Oh the excruciating reminder of The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen! Surprisingly not the case with Rachel Kramer Bussel's Peep Show. Actually, it was the complete opposite. Each page brought teasing naughty tidbits that magnetically made your fingers turn to the next page and enticed you to read more. Not because it's 'Erotica'- trust me I've read plenty of boring Erotica in my time. Reading this book was different on many levels. It was thought provoking, stimulating, fun, loving, serious, happy, sad, sensuous, raunchy and full of fantasy all rolled into one.
Peep Show is a collection of sexually driven storylines of voyeurs and exhibitionists. Each story featured a different author, which helped carry the momentum of the book. Finding the right chemistry of writers are paramount and obviously well executed, in this book. Each author has a very distinct writing style, which is apparent. What I appreciate about this collection of great writers is, it actually allows you to 'sample' their work. Their Style, and their ability. I found a few authors intriguing, which has peaked my interest in seeking their other work. The one common thread I found with these writers is their ability to paint detailed imagery for the reader, lending the desired intense emotion to each storyline.
The beauty of Peep Show is that Rachel- the editor, found the perfect formula that resulted in a book filled with erotic stories that literally anyone can relate to. There is indeed, something for everybody. From stories about a husband watching his beautiful wife sleep, the thrill of having sex in a hotel window in Germany, a worker's fantasy made reality in the Japanese 'water trade', to a virgin witch pushing her own limits, Peep Show covers a vast spectrum of sexually infused tales. The authors featured are both men and women. With all stories unique and independent of each other. I'll admit there were times I became flush with excitement and had to tame my inner sex kitten a few of the stories evoked. Then other stories had me wanting to cuddle up with my hubby in a peaceful loving embrace.
Peep Show is a quick read which is worth every penny. Oh the lascivious actions this book makes me want to indulge in. My mind is now racing with deliciously devious thoughts. Who knows what it may spark with in you? Gentleman, it's a great gift for that special open minded lady who may need a lil sexual coaxing. Ladies, my only suggestion to you is: Buy some AA batteries; you'll need to keep them in stock while reading Peep Show. It's the perfect little treasure to keep hidden in your purse or nightstand. The explicit words will make your eyes feel guilty with pleasure just for reading them. Your face will feel flush as the blood rushes to your cheeks and the heat rising from your collar will make you feel like a dirty girl underneath that well tailored suit you're wearing while riding the subway to work. Just imagine- reading the story of 'Superior' about a female boss that suduces her employee. Her subordinate begins to beg her: "I want to lick you through your panty hose. I want to suck your wetness out of them when you're done. I want you to tie them on me like a gag and suck me off and then spit my come back into my mouth. I want your scent all over my face...." Needless to say Peep Show will change your perspective of the morning commute. I only urge you to try and remember that folks may be around you as you read. I found myself lost in the fantasy of words many times while reading this book. Who knows- you may begin writing your own true tales of exhibition. Now....let your imagination run wild.
